I hope you had a great September! At first when thinking about September I didn't feel like there was a whole lot going on but I was wrong. I honestly forgot to start this post until the last minute. It was a crazy month at work and time just flew by. The next few months are going to be bonkers between Halloween and Christmas and I am going to have to be on my game. Hopefully, I won’t fall behind on all my plans. There is a full day of planning and more planning in my future!
Exciting happenings
Wortley Village Craft Show - The show went really well and it was a beautiful day! The sun was shining and it was a little windy. It was fairly busy throughout the day with the odd slow spot. I bought a super cute necklace and bracelet from a really nice vendor called Gnolia Designs. Her jewelry was gorgeous. For my set up there were a bunch of new items that I didn’t have at last year's show. The biggest sellers were the cable tidies which is crazy they are the smallest thing but people really like them! My guess is the reason they were popular is because they are great stocking stuffers. People seemed to really like the colour-changing beer can-shaped glasses. It was so cold in the morning as we were unpacking the glasses the vinyl had changed colour it gave us a good laugh first thing in the morning. I sold two and they are new this year in general so selling them was exciting.
Kane Brown concert tickets - I am super excited to go to his concert next year it’s going to be crazy good. I missed him when he came to London this year which was a bummer. He is touring with Tyler Hubbard and Parmalee and I am excited to see both of them, the lineup is great. Getting tickets on Ticketmaster was a bit of a nightmare but we did it. The concert is in Toronto so we are probably making it an overnight trip which should be fun we don’t do that very often. I have always liked Kane Brown he just has a deep voice that just gets to you. If you haven’t listened to any of them go take a listen!
Amazon Associate - This is exciting for me, not something I thought I would be doing never thought I would be accepted for it. It’s similar to their affiliate program you need to go through the associate program before becoming part of the affiliate program where they send you items to promote. I might look into that program in the future but I want to see how this goes first. I have a page here on my site that is dedicated to the items I use so you can find them on Amazon.
Verified Pinterest Merchant - This just happened at the end of the month so I am just getting it figured out. I can now start selling my creations on Pinterest, I'm just not sure how to get it all working. I have to do some reading and set up some stuff so hopefully soon! Knowing me I am probably making it come complicated than it needs to be. Super excited to get it up and going. I will let you know when it’s all ready!
New Tools and materials
Halloween faux leather - Halloween is coming up and I wanted to make something for Halloween to put on my Shopify so I ordered the sheets to make earrings and bows. The sheets are a little smaller than I thought they were going to be but I am still happy with them. The set came with 15 sheets with all kinds of different designs, pumpkins, witches, ghosts, candy corn, haunted houses, polka dots and a bunch more. There are so many ideas I just have to decide which ones I want to make with which pattern.
Christmas faux leather - Christmas is my favourite and love all things Christmas so clearly with Christmas coming I needed to get some faux leather to make a bunch of fun Christmas goodies. I got it at the same time I ordered the Halloween sheets. The sheets were smaller than I thought they would be but that is okay I will still use them no problem. It came with 12 sheets with different patterns with gnomes, snowflakes, candy canes, ho ho ho, winter scenes and a few more. I am going to sit down and decide which patterns will be used for which project. It's going to be such a hard decision.
Teckwrap colour-changing vinyl - I have always wanted to try the colour-changing vinyl. There are videos all over Instagram and TikTok and it looked so cool and fun. I never did projects that would be used with the vinyl but when I bought the beer can-shaped glasses the opportunity came up and I bought a package. The first sheet I used was the orange one and a glass for Halloween with pumpkins. If you want to see it change colour go to my TikTok and watch the magic! I have a list of ideas for the different colours just need to get more glasses. It’s so much fun to watch the vinyl change when the cold liquid goes in. I can’t wait to do some fun Christmas ones.
Letter wax stamps from Indigo - I have been learning to use wax stamps haven't gotten it down yet. There were a bunch of stamps on clearance so naturally I had to get some. They came with the stamp and some different coloured wax sticks and a some of them are marbled coloured. The marbeled one should make some fun seals.
I bought a fun new tool that I have been wanting to get for ages but I am not ready to share it just yet on here. I want to get it built and get it all up and going! Look out for it on Instagram and TikTok.
Projects - on the go or on the blog
Mod Podge Pumpkin - I have seen this all over TikTok and loved how other creators' pumpkins have turned out. I pretty much already had everything at home except for the napkins. I found some cute ones at HomeSense one of them has little blue and white pumpkins and the other has forest friends. I am still working on the project a little bit I had an orange plastic pumpkin and when I tried gluing the napkins the orange started coming through I hated how it looked. I had to paint the pumpkin white first to get rid of the orangeness, so now I need to glue on the napkins. Hopefully, it turns out as good as I plan on sometimes the vision doesn't match the end product. Hopefully, I will have it done soon to add a picture.
Macramae feather - This is the first time making anything using macrame cord. This is something that I have always wanted to give a try but never really jumped into until recently. There are so many incredible decorations that others have made and I want to be able to make those for my home. Making the feather seemed like one of the easiest projects to start out on. I did the feather in pink and I am in love with it. Next, I would like to get the guides to help shape the feathers when cutting them I just did it by hand and it turned out okay. For now, I am just going to cut the sizes I need with my Cricut using cardstock.
Coffee design colouring changing vinyl beer glass tumbler - The wrap has a travel coffee tumbler, a coffee cup with steam and little heart images facing different directions. I couldn’t find anything I liked looking around online so I made my own. It turned out super cute. I am not trained in any type of design so I played around until it looked right. When I cut it I did so only the hearts would change colour when the cold liquid goes in. It sold at my craft show so I know I am not the only one who really liked it!
Cup care instructions - I wanted to make sure that whoever was buying the glasses had the instructions to properly take care of them and not have to explain the proper care every time. I decided to make my own instead of buying a digital copy off Etsy. It was a super easy project I think it took all of half an hour to create, print and cut and feels like it just gave a little bit more of a personal touch to make it myself. I may redo them and make them a little more fancy but not sure yet.
Attempt to make a notebook out of hold storybooks - I kept seeing TikToks of people taking old storybooks and repurposing them into a notebook. The books came from Goodwill no new books are being destroyed. The plan is to use as much of the book as I can before recycling the rest when I can some can't be recycled. The notebook didn't turn out as planned but I need some practice and maybe more paper to make them thick for the coil size. This is just the second time using the cinch machine and the first time attempting this project.

Books & Music
Book outlet haul - If you are a bookworm and looking for a great way to get books at a decent price this is a great option for you. We got 9 books for a super reasonable price. On Amazon and Indigo, the books were at full price whereas here they were discounted. Not all books will be available but there are so many great books available either way. The actual store is in St.Catherines if you want to go in or delivery is free when you spend 50 dollars or more and it comes fast!
One Day Macrame book - I am just learning to do macrame and after making the feather I wanted to learn more knots and different projects like wall hangings. After some research looking at different books online, and reading the reviews I found a book that I wanted to get. Not going to lie part of the reason I got the book was the pictures were really pretty. Luckily the book was available at Indigo so one day after work we popped over to get it. Right now I am just reading it and getting an idea of the different knots. I am looking forward to making some of the wall hangings once I get a little more practice and confidence!
Harry Potter book film wizardry - I enjoy reading books about how the Harry Potter movies came to be and seeing how actors change. This book is really cool it has different “interactive”, for a lack of a better word, pieces to it like Harry Potter’s Hogwarts acceptance letter. I don’t just flip through these types of books I read them front to back.

New Decor

Pastel-coloured Christmas village - Yes I have started buying Christmas decorations! I knew if I didn’t buy it now it wouldn’t be there when I went back to get it later. Last year I got one that matches it that has the same colours and village. The one I got last year is on a pink stand with a glass clonch over top of it. I mean everything about that decoration screams me. Plus Christmas is my favourite and I will buy decorations I love anytime I can.
