Ghost banner cutouts for the banner.
Ghost banner cutouts

Ghosts can be super cute or scary but personally, I am all about the cute happy ghost. Making this cute little happy ghost banner was so much fun. It brought a smile to my face once I was done seeing these cute ghosts smiling back at me. It was a quick and easy Cricut project for Halloween. I was looking at the different projects that I could repost of fall and was like, "I have nothing to share for Halloween!" so out came the cute ghosts!

an older banner so I don't have a picture of it hanging and it's packed up nicely. I don't want to unpackage it I will never get it back in.

Happy Halloween!

  1. Open Cricut Design Space and open a new project.

Cutting the cardstock

Ghost images and size 3.57 in by 3.4 in.
  1. Grab some black and white cardstock and set it aside or adhere to a mat in advance.
  2. Turn on the Cricut machine, make sure the fine point blade is in, and get some Cricut mats. I suggest using multiple mats just to keep the machine going and cutting.
  3. Make sure the machine is connected to your device.
  4. Go to “make it” when you are ready to cut.
  5. Choose the mat for “any material” and click continue.
  6. When it gets to the cut screen match the cardstock on the mat with the colour that is showing on the screen. For example, if the screen is showing Pink put the pink on the mat. If you have multiple mats you can prep in advance.
  7. Once the cardstock is on the mat take the brayer and run it over the cardstock
  8. Click “continue” and load the mat into the machine.
  9. Choose the material “cardstock 85 or 100 lbs” or the weight that works best.
  10. Click the flashing “C” when prompted to start the cut.
  11. Unload the machine when the ”arrow” starts flashing.
  12. Load the next mat when prompted.
  13. Repeat as needed for each colour.

Removing the cardstock

  1. Flip the mat over so the cardstock is facing down.
  2. Peel the mat off the paper it will help keep the cardstock from curling.
  3. If a piece doesn’t come off take the spatula and slide it underneath to help remove it.
  4. Repeat as needed.

Assembly & hanging

  1. Punch holes if needed.
  2. Take the glue and adhere the pieces together.
  3. While the glue is drying grab some twine and clothes pins.
  4. Take the twine and lay it out or hang it first and start hanging the ghosts where you want them to go on the twine. Thread the wooden beads if you want them on the twine.

Hang the banner wherever you want it to go. They are fun to put up anywhere in your home!
