This wood round has to be one of my favorite creations that I have done. These are all over Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook groups I am a part of. I really wanted to make one so I ordered the wood round off amazon. They aren’t super thick rounds most people are using for these. I got ones that are thinner which I thought was good for my first time.

This project took me about a week to complete. It probably won't take me that long next time I didn't want to rush it. There were a few different things involved like making sure lines were straight, sizes were right and making a bow which I rarely do. I had to wait for paint to dry, vinyl to set, and glue to dry. So many different parts to making it and it was  totally worth it!

How to make

Read the the instructions through first.

I broke it down into sections. I felt doing one long list is to much and over whelming. If you are unsure of anything you can use the photo to help!

Place painter's tape where you want the paint to start. The bottom of the tape is where the paint would start such as 3.5 inches from the bottom. Make sure the tape is stuck down to help the paint from bleeding.

Take paint, foam brush and start painting. I did multiple thin layers of paint until I was happy with the coverage. Paint set for about 5 minutes or you can pull right away. You should get a nice crisp line.

Open Cricut design space and insert a circle to the size of the wood round. I also did a line approximately where the paint begins to get the sizing needed. This isn’t necessary but I found it helpful.

Upload your SVG or create your own design. I had found one I really likes so I used that.

Now that everything is uploaded I moved and adjusted the size of the design onto the circle.

Once you are happy with the size. Place the vinylon your mat(s), send the project to cut and let it do it’s magic.

Once cut time to weed the vinyl.

I took the orange vinyl cutouts and transferred them into the outlines to make it once piece and then transferred the full finished vinyl piece to the wood round.

This was the one piece that gave me a hard time since I don't normally make them. Google how to make a bow you will find better instructions. You could also buy a Bowbadra. I followed the instructions and then had to make adjustments because something didn't go right. Super happy with the bow even though it turn out like the original.

I am extremely proud and love how this one turned out. I can't wait to make more.

I would love to hear from you comment below or at Pink Knight Creations on Facebook and Instagram.
